About Second Alarm Foundation
Because even the strongest need backup.
Second Alarm Foundation exists to provide confidential mental health support, resilience programs, and recovery resources for first responders and veterans who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities.
We believe that strength includes asking for help, and that those who answer the call deserve a system that answers when they need backup.

Our story
Built for those who run toward the call
First responders and veterans carry what most people never see. The weight of repeated exposure to trauma, high-stakes decisions, and long-term stress can show up as anxiety, depression, PTSD, burnout, and relationship strain.
When a situation escalates beyond what the first crew can handle, more help is called in. It’s a signal that the challenge is bigger than expected — and that backup is needed immediately. But when the emergencies end and the sirens fade, many first responders are left carrying invisible burdens:
- Trauma exposure
- Chronic stress
- Burnout
- Depression
- PTSD
- Substance use struggles
Confidential support shouldn’t be complicated. We help you take the next step—without judgment and without red tape.
